The nitty gritty stuff you need to know...
Prices include
•Accommodations as listed on the website and in the workshop descriptions.
•Transportation as listed on the website and in the workshop descriptions.
•Three meals per day as listed on the website and in the workshop descriptions.
•Full-time access to a workshop instructor and staff.
•Excursions to points of interest as listed on the website and in the workshop descriptions.
Prices do not include
•International or national flights unless specified in the workshop description.
•Excess baggage fees, passport fees, visa fees, customs fees, duties or taxes of any kind.
•Transportation fees beyond those specified on the website and in the workshop description.
•Meals beyond those specified in the on the website and in the workshop description.
•Insurance of any kind, optional sightseeing, laundry service, postage, packaging, clothing or any other items of personal nature.
•Child services, child monitoring or daycare.
Transportation
•Please arrive early, departure times are exact - and refunds are NOT available for missed or canceled airport transfers.
•Fees for private car rentals, taxis, bus and train tickets are the responsibility of each participant and their travel partners.
Meals and Entrance Fees
•Three meals per day are included in the price of most workshops, this includes continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Missed meals are non-refundable, and meals purchased outside of the workshop program are the responsibility of each participant and their travel partners.
•Entrance fees for museums, archeological sites and places of interest for excursions in the workshop itinerary are included in the price.
•Please make sure that shoulders and knees are covered when visiting holy sites. Dress codes can be strictly enforced by security at some locations. Italy Art Workshops cannot be held responsible for participants who are denied access to sites due to improper dress, and refunds are not available as a result of denied access.
Accommodations
•The price of each workshop includes a standard room furnished with two single beds, and reserved for double occupancy.
•Single participants in standard rooms may be assigned a roommate of the same gender without advance notice by Italy Art Workshops.
•For an additional fee, participants may reserve a standard room for single occupancy, or upgrade to a private suite.
•It is important to respect the historic integrity of our facilities and report any major spills or damage to the staff immediately. Participants are responsible for any damages they cause to the studio and accommodations.
•All rooms inside the workshops are designated non-smoking, and all windows and doors are protected by a 20 ft. smoke free boundary outside.
The Studio
•Participants are responsible for cleaning up their own work area before 6pm each day. We provide drop cloths and supplies for easy cleanup.
•Recorded classical music is sometimes provided by the Instructor in the studio at a very low level. Participants wishing to listen to their own music must use a portable music player with headphones so that their music is not audible to others.
•Workshop start times are exact; please arrive at the studio on time. If participants are late, they may be asked to wait until a break before setting up, as not to disturb others.
•The use of aerosols and fixatives is strictly limited to outside, and must be used at least 20 ft. away from any door or window. Be sure to recap containers of paint and solvents immediately after using them to minimize fumes and potential accidents.
•Photographing the painting and sculpture models is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the instructor of the workshop.
Payments
•A 30% nonrefundable deposit is required for reserving workshops.
•Reservations for workshops must be paid in full at least 60 days before the workshop(s) start date. If the balance due is not received 60 days prior to the workshop(s), the participant/ payee is at risk of forfeiting their reservation and nonrefundable deposit.
•Payments for workshops are accepted in US dollars and Euros in the forms of credit cards, PayPal and cash.
Cancellations
•We must receive a phone call notifying us that you are canceling a workshop(s) at least 60 days before the workshop start date, at which time the workshop(s) can be exchanged for another at a later date. Exchange dates for canceled workshops received less than 60 days before the workshop(s) start date are not guaranteed and subject to the discretion of management and their ability to find a standby participant.
•Canceled workshop(s) are confirmed by an email message issued by the Italy Art Workshops within 48 hours. The new reservation must be made within one year of the canceled workshop.
•In the unlikely event of workshop cancellations on behalf of Italy Art Workshops, a complete refund, including the 30% deposit, will be issued within 30 days of the cancellation notice.
•If workshops are canceled for any reason by either party, Italy Art Workshops cannot be held liable for any fees, expenses, or monetary losses related to transportation, accommodations, food, illness, or travel expenses by participants, their agents, representatives, or associates.
Insurance
•We strongly suggest that all workshop participants obtain a travelers insurance policy before they depart for Italy. The policy should cover at minimum, medical emergencies, lost baggage, transportation problems and theft.
Children, Families and Travel Partners
•Legal guardians are welcome to bring their children and teenagers who are not participating in the workshops. Children and teenagers must be accompanied by an adult supervisor at all times.
•Participants visiting with children and teenagers must reserve private suite accommodations. Italy Art Workshops reserves the right to deny disruptive children and their legal guardians access to the workshops at anytime without reimbursement.
•We are a family friendly organization, and we encourage participants to bring family members or travel partners who are not participating in the workshops. Please understand that non-participants are restricted from the instruction areas, but we welcome them to join us for meals and excursions.
•Participants planning on bringing an infant, child or teenager to the Italy Art Workshops must notify us in advance at the time of submitting the online Registration Request Form. Failure to provide advance notice can result in the cancellation of the participants’ workshop without a refund.
•Our intensive workshops are best suited for adults of all ages, but on occasion we have accepted talented children with references and advance notice.

•We do our best to work with each participant in the rare situation that they may find a cancellation necessary, due to personal circumstances.
•Our staff speaks excellent English and they are equipped with cell phones ready to handle problems as they arise during your visit.
•The mission of the Italy Art Workshops is to combine intensive learning with dedicated professionals, and cultural immersion, while providing highest level of service possible for our participants.
•If you are dissatisfied with something during your times at Italy Art Workshops, please let your instructor or a staff person know, so they can do their best to rectify the situation immediately.
•Your privacy is our policy. Our staff and instructors are not permitted to provide any details about our participants before, during or after their visit.
