Transportation
Your journey is the destination.
Participants attending the workshops and their travel partners are responsible for purchasing their own International and national airline tickets. We are happy to provide ground transportation in Italy at no extra charge. The transportation included in the price of each workshop is limited to the following:

•Pick-up from and delivery back to Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci, (Fiumicino) Airport in our luxury passenger van.

•Delivery to and pick-up from scheduled “Excursions,” as outlined in the Workshop iItineraries, or Enrichment Course that you reserve.
Please read each Workshop Description for detailed information about when we use passenger vans, trains and busses for scheduled excursions. Participants are responsible for any additional transportation fees outside of the workshop itineraries. Due to our remote scenic location, there are rarely public buses to and from the workshops, and we are happy to deliver participants to nearby car rental agencies where we have arranged for discounts.
Arriving at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci, (Fiumicino) Airport:
On the first day of your workshop, make sure your flight is scheduled to arrive no later than 11:30am (Rome time). This will provide enough time for you to collect your bags and meet our driver at 12:30pm, in the passenger pick up area. Our driver has wireless access to flight tracking information to help keep us updated on possible flight delays. We make every effort to facilitate delays, but participants who arrive after the 12:30pm pick up time will be responsible for their own transportation arrangements and the fees to arrive at the Italy Art Workshops.
Your Workshop Handbook will include where to meet, complete details on what to do if you miss the designated pick up time, including phone numbers, maps and directions for reaching us by train and rental car. We also offer easy instructions on how to use public transportation and how to avoid tourist pitfalls along the way. There are several car rental agencies located near our locations that are more affordable and easier to access than those offered in Rome and Florence.
